Cabs For Women (CFW) is a metered taxi business operating in the Gauteng region. The company employs women cab drivers to transport their clients, offering peace of mind to the younger female demographic needing transportation. The ED Action Fund Trust partnered with Cabs for Women to provide capital, thus growing the fleet and creating employment for previously disadvantaged women. Drivers now have the opportunity to become owner-drivers, and undergo a 6 month training course on customer service and driver safety so as to provide a quality end product to the customer. The business is now looking to expand into other provinces, creating further jobs as they grow.
